Mr. Albert John Eid 89, of Indianapolis, died April 29, 2009, with his family at his side. Albert was born on October 15, 1919, in West Baden, Indiana to John M. and Frances (Risk) Eid. After graduating from Arsenal Tech in 1937, he served his country honorably in the Army during WWII. He was self-employed, operating his wholesale fruit and vegetable distribution business. He also worked at Railway Express until they closed, and retired from IPS after many years. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church, the American Legion, and Brookside Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his brothers, Louis J. and Mikel J. Eid; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eva Simon and Mary Kafoure; and brothers, Mike and Ralph. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, from 4 to 8pm, with Trisagion service at 7:30pm, at Harry W. Moore (8151 Allisonville Road). Funeral service will begin Friday at 10am at St. George Orthodox Church (4020 N. Sherman Dr.) with visitation from 9 to10am at the Church. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Orthodox Church.
